The power of Vision

Vision is the driving wheel for every successful individual, Nation, or company. Everyone who wants to excel must have a vision of what he/she wants to achieve at the end of a given time period.

What is the vision? It actually what you can see coming to pass. The bible is very clear on the vision and it states that where there is no vision people will perish.

Pro 29:18  Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

You can have time and resources that you require in life but without vision, all that you have will be like nothing.

In the book of Habakkuk, the Lord tells us to actually write down our vision so as to guide us in what we do.

Hab 2:2  And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

Hab 2:3  For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

I want to give you a brief work of vision in my life when I put the word of God in the book of Habakkuk into the test to see if it could actually work for me. Some years ago I had a number of things that I wanted to be done in my life and I had no resources to have them done but I remember on 31/12/2018 at midnight during my devotion and prayers, I sat down and wrote the things I wanted to have achieved by the end of the year 2019. Then after writing them down I just prayed and kept the book and started working towards the vision and by March 2019 I was surprised that a number of things were already fulfilled by the Lord.

With that short testimony, I have given I want to highlight to you some of the vision of the power can have in your life.

What power does vision have?

1. It propels you to work hard

2. It runs you, giving you direction towards your achievements

3. It is a source of your encouragement

4. God permits your vision, it is obeyed by God

The list can be endless if we continue so let us consider the above and try to analyze your life if you really have a vision in your life.

Most of the time it is good even to ask God to help you in realizing your vision then you write it down. Daniel in the book Daniel chapter 10, while he was praying and fasting that is when God revealed to him a vision that he understood very well.

Dan 10:1  In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had an understanding of the vision.

A time we need to pray and fast for God to reveal to us our visions in our lives.

Let us, therefore, make this prayer:

Almighty Father in Jesus name I pray that you open my eyes for the vision of my life. Amen

He is my friend

Do you have a friend?   Do you know the friend Jesus? Every person tends to have a friend in life and those who lack friends in their lives are considered to be less fortunate in the society or even in the assembly of brethren because the friendship is tagged to a given value or price in life. When people come together to make friends they are aiming at a given objective or goal to achieve. I want us to look unto Jesus Christ as a friend but before that let us learn some types of friends/friendship. We have different kinds or types of friendships in our daily encounters in life as we interact with people. The following are some of just example that we find in the bible: - 1.       Covenantal friends or friendship This is the type where the two or more come together and binds themselves in a covenant of friendship. The aim here is to protect one another from the danger of life and to grant everyone safety. A good example of this from the bible is David...

I will serve the Lord for in Him there is my safety!

Many of the times have you ever asked yourself why God will always deliver us from any affliction or bondage? I believe that we will have different answers one to another, but let us read from the book of Exodus in the Bible when God was sending Moses to set free the children of Israel from the captivity of the Egyptians.  (Exo 3:7)  And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; (Exo 3:8)  And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. (Exo 3:9)  Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress th...

Longing for Zion in a foreign Land

What is the longing of your heart? Where do you desire to be after the life of this world? I know these questions ring in your mind too. As you are working very hard serving God you have some hope just like Apostle Paul said that the hope of his life is to receive an uninterruptible crown that is not given by men but by the Lord Jesus Christ (1Co 9:25  And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible. ). I believe we all hope for the crown but just as Paul we must serve labor on this earth serving God and preaching the good tidings which is the gospel or the Goodnews from the Lord Jesus Christ. That hope and longing is godly but it matters the land where you are. The place we long to be with the Lord after this world is Zion the city of the Lord that is full of righteousness of God but we live in a foreign land that is compared to Babylon the rejected land that is full of immora...
